Hospital “Fantasy Theme” Christmas Decoration

ILOCOS SUR - Metro Vigan Multipurpose Cooperative Hospital is giving its visitors and guests a glimpse of the “fantasy world” this Christmas. The hospital has put “fantasy theme” decorations as part of their annual activity of giving their staff the venue to showcase their creativity.

The whole first floor became a nursery, with different kinds of toys displayed everywhere.

The second floor was invaded by aliens. The story line of the outer space theme started with the landing of a spaceship then eventually saw the birth of Jesus.

“Bale nag-isip lang kame kung papaano namen incorporate yung theme sa birth ni Jesus. So sa story habang naglalakbay sila at hinahanap yung happiness na gusto nila, naglakbay sila at nang malaman nila nag-build narin sila ng house dito they found happiness in the arms of Jesus” Nikki Marielle Cayanan said.

Miniature of spaceships with different shapes and colors were hanged in the hospital aisle. Instead of the usual Christmas balls, their Christmas tree was decorated by miniature of spaceships and aliens

.
Meanwhile the third floor was turned into a world under water.

The entrance in the intensive care unit was decorated with fish images and other sea creatures.

Most decorations were made from recycled materials such as old papers, empty IV bottles, syringes, plastic bottles and boxes.

“Nagtulong-tulong kame para mabuo lahat ito, we were given two weeks para sa preparations. Bukod sa naipapakita namen yung artistic side namen nagsisilbi narin siya na bonding with other staff” Shierald Acosta said.

It was a magical forest theme in the fourth floor. They used disco lights to depict the flying of fairies.

“Fulfilling din sa side namen kasi kapag nakikita ng mga pasyente o mga bisita nila sinasabi na maganda so parang nakakatulong din para gumaan yung mga nararamdaman nila” Peter Amano said.

Each floors presented different themes and decorations but if there is one thing in common – they highlighted the birth of Jesus and its message of love.
